Divine Mercy Dhyanashram is a branch of Potta – Divine Ministry and the second Vincentian run retreat centre in Andhra Pradesh. The first one is in Kurnool, Premagiri Sinai Retreat Centre. It was officially opened on April 22nd,2010.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Edattu VC Assistant General of the Vincentian Congregation inaugurated the centre while Bishop Gali Bali of Guntur blessed the Centre.

Mangalagiri is a city famous for its ancient temples and hills from which it takes the name Mangala giri meaning auspicious hill where one can receive Divine Blessings. With the new Divine Mercy Dhyanashram the name Mangalagiri truly has become auspicious as the dhyanshram has become a healing centre where people of all walks of life get Divine Blessings of healing, miracles and favours to live a happy and prosperous life.

Rev. Fr. Paul Karayil VC is the pioneer of this Mission took charge as the parish priest on April 2009 rented his commendable service to the center.

Rev. Fr. John Kanichery, VC is the Director and founder of the Dhyanashram conducts retreats, night vigils, Friday fasting prayers, Saturday Bible convention besides other special events to heal the sick spiritually and physically making a person integrally whole healthy and happy.

There are two other Vincentian priests reside in the centre and assist in the ministry.

Fr. Shijo Nettiyankal VC and Fr. Fr. Jacob Vattaparambil VC are the assistant directors who work day in and day out to help run the centre and conduct all the spiritual programmes besides managing the needs of the Parish of Bapuji Nagar which has over 200 Catholic families.

Bapuji Nagar Parish was officially carved out of the existing Magalagiri Parish and a Church was constructed in 1968 and blessed by the then Bishop Most Rev. K. Mariadas.

However, the Parish got a boost of energy with the opening of the new Dhyanshram and now people flock for every programme and the Church is full and overflowing during the spiritual programmes.

It is truly a new Evangelization programme as the faith of the people is still very shallow and needs nurturing and careful administration of the sacraments to revive the faith in its true expression.
